Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas demolished

The renowned Riviera Hotel and Casino are no longer existing. Yesterday, the last tower of the hotel was demolished.



The hotel and casino were no stranger to appear in the movies. Scenes of the movies Casino, Oceans’s 11 and James Bond’s Diamonds are Forever were shot there.



The 2000-room hotel shut down in 2015, and some parts of the building were already taken down. Yesterday, August 16th, it was the turn of the final part.



The area will make place for the Las Vegas Convention Center, the whole terrain was sold for approximately $160 million. There is a video of the demolition.
