A Dutch national has been appointed in charge of governing the three casinos in Detroit.
Dale Zahn, CEO of the West Michigan Lakeshore Association of Realtors, was chosen as a Republican Party representative on the Michigan Gaming Control Board. The appointment was made by Governor Snyder on Friday.
According to Mr Snyder, Zahn’s experience in property and real estate management will prove an asset to the panel.
The board consists of five members responsible for controlling the licensing and regulatory regimes of the Greektown, Motor City and MGM Grand casinos in the area.
Dale Zahn takes the place of Michael Watza on the board.
Detroit’s senate has to officially approve Zahn’s four-year mandate which will last until the end of 2020.
