Casino Revenue in Maryland Reaches 128.7 Million in February

Figures made public by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming authority reveal that casino state-wide revenue for the month of February amounts to $128.7 million.

Relative to last year’s revenue for the same month, there has been a 38% increase as $35,440,368 more flowed through local casino establishments. However, given the fact that back then the MGM National Harbor was not yet in existence, casinos incurred a loss of 11.1%, or $10,328,702.

Below is a breakdown of revenue amounts for each of the casinos in the state:

   §   Maryland Live Casino: $46,291,292

   §   MGM National Harbor: $45,769,070

   §   Horseshoe Casino Baltimore: $22,031,143

   §   Hollywood Casino Perryville: $6,210,824

§   Rocky Gap Casino Resort: $4,364,925

§   Casino at Ocean Downs: $4,046,190

President of Maryland Live Casino owner Cordish Global Gaming Group Robert Norton expressed his satisfaction with the number one ranking. He pointed out that the establishment enjoyed a loyal customer base that appreciated the casino’s personalized approach to service.

Casino revenue in Maryland contributes to the Maryland Education Trust Fund as well as to small, minority and women-owned businesses and the state’s horse racing industry.
